• Nuttige melkzuurbacterie die van nature in ons spijsverteringskanaal voorkomt en maagdarminfecties tegen gaat.
• Deze bacterie komt ook voor in de vagina en beschermt tegen Candida infecties.
• Wordt gezien als een veroorzaker van tandbederf aangezien hij bij vergevorderde cariës aangetroffen is.
